Day 1 HCMC arrival - Cu Chi Tunnel

Arrive in Ho Chi Minh, greetings and transfer to the hotel for refreshing. Early check-in is upon the room’s availability (Check-in time at the hotel is 14.00).

 

This afternoon, take a visiting to Cu Chi Tunnels, one of the few remaining monuments to the Vietnam War. Beneath the ground lies 200 km of tunnels, dug by hand and inhabited by the forces of the Vietnamese guerrillas during the conflict. At its peak, prior to the Tet Offensive in 1968, the tunnel complex was base to almost 10,000 troops. To this day, it remains one of the most impressive examples of how fierce the war used to be.

Day 2 HCMC - Cai Be - Can Tho

Meal provided: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

 

The program will start with a visit to Vinh Long market in the town. This is the best choice for you to take pictures of fish, shrimps, prawns, crabs, snakes, rice-field rats, tropical fruits, vegetables...

The boat will take you to visit the brick kilns where you can see how the local people create beautiful potteries from clay. Then, visit the local workshops. where you can see how to make rice paper, coconut candy, and pop-rice, pop-corn. Enjoy some kinds of candies with a cup of hot tea.

The rowing boat will take you deeper into the countryside on smaller canals and enjoy a peaceful time. It is so interesting to see traditional houses made of wood or palm tree leaves and see some activities of the local farmers with an opportunity to make contacts with them and see how they catch fish or pick up fruits by ancestral ways in Mekong Delta.

Then, we can walk in 15 minutes to visit the orchard & traditional house of Ut Trinh family, we will enjoy some kinds of fruits and tea when listening to traditional music. Walk around the fruitful orchard to see the varieties of tropical fruits…

One more thing to do on this trip is biking! It will be so amazing to bike on village paths to see the local farms, houses, « monkey » bridge, real-life...

The cruise will end at Vinh Long city. Transfer to Can Tho (about 1h30 driving).

Day 3 Can Tho - Cai Rang Floating Market - HCMC

Meal provided: Breakfast, Lunch

 

Early morning at 5:30 AM, take a boat trip to catch a glimpse into the lives of the locals and see the bustling markets full of life and vibrancy in Cai Rang floating market which is one of the three biggest in the Mekong Delta. The shops and stalls at the market are the boat of different sizes. Cai Rang Floating Market is open all day but it is busiest from sunrise to about 9.00 am. The main items sold there are farm products and specialties of Cai Rang Town, Chau Thanh District of hundreds of boats packed with mango, bananas, papaya, pineapple, and even smuggled goods like cigarettes.

 

Pick up randomly a “floating restaurant” to have a one-of-a-kind breakfast such as Pho, Snail Noodle, Crab Noodle right on the motorboat. This experience is verified by the renowned Gordon Ramsay – the famous British Chef in his food adventure in Cai Rang Floating Market.

 

Make a stop at Binh Thuy ancient house which has long been renowned for its ancient beauty along with its unique architecture. Antiques and prominent traditional cultural features have been still deliberately preserved and promoted by descendants of the founder. It has been captured in many films such as “The silt ways,” “The Bac Lieu mandarin’s son” and “The lover” of French director J. Annaud.

 

Get back to your lodge for a short rest. Check out at 12 PM. Have lunch en-route. Drive back to HCMC.

Day 4 HCMC - City Tour - Departure

This day, flexible visiting some famous landmarks in Saigon city such as War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, Saigon corner café, China town…

 

Depending on your departure flight, your private driver will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the airport in time for your flight to the next destination. They will ensure you are the correct gate. We wish you a safe and pleasant journey.
