Worldwide tourists come here to experience these 38 kilometers; man-made canal initiated by the visionary King Rama IV 150 years ago. This canal was used as “road” when there was no road in Thailand. This floating market is currently the center of fruits and vegetable trading. At this floating market, you can try a number of delicious Thai fruits A motor boat ride is already included in your tour. We will continue to Coconut Sugar Farm

You will observe how Thai farmers produce coconut nectar and palm sugar loaf. You will see a demonstration of coconut flower cutting, pouring the nectar into a bamboo container, putting preservation woods in the container, boiling up and pasteurizing the coconut nectar into the drinkable one. You will try squeezing coconut milk from coconut shell using a traditional Thai “rabbit-teeth” wooden machine. After this interesting lesson we will continue to Maeklong Railway Market (Talad Rom Hub) The railway market in Mae Klong District is humorously called as the “life-risking” market! It is well known as one of the “Amazing-Thailand” for its chaotic moments. In normal time, seller stalls are typically attached to the railways. However, when the bell of the arriving train rings, the big turmoil will happen! Vendors will rush to detract their stalls and clear away all goods that obstructs the running train at a great speed. Once the train passes, all vendors will expand their stalls and resume selling again. interesting experience!!

The Grand Palace remains a busy beehive of activity, overwhelming the visitor with an abundance of detail spanning a whole complex covering some 200,000 square meters. Beyond the Emerald Buddha’s sanctuary, you’ll find over a hundred other buildings crowding the grounds, including a couple of structures notable for their European influences, like the Borombhiman Hall and the Chakri Mahaprasat—the latter’s Thai spires crown an Italian Renaissance-style Hall. Dress code is enforced at the gate; visitors’ attire must cover their shoulders and legs. Half day trip to elephant care. Unlike traditional elephant tourism, which often involves riding or performing elephants, Chiang Mai Elephant Care focuses on ethical interactions that prioritize the welfare of the animals. Visitors have the opportunity to observe and engage with elephants in a natural environment without causing harm or stress.

Rescue and Rehabilitation: Many elephants at Chiang Mai Elephant Care have been rescued from exploitative situations such as logging camps, circuses, or tourist attractions where they were mistreated or overworked. The sanctuary provides a safe haven for these elephants to rehabilitate and live freely.

Educational Experiences: Visitors to Chiang Mai Elephant Care can learn about the importance of elephant conservation and the challenges facing these magnificent creatures in Thailand and beyond. Guided tours and educational programs offer insights into elephant behavior, biology, and the efforts being made to protect them.

Hands-On Activities: Participants in the program have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities that promote the well-being of the elephants, such as feeding them nutritious food, bathing them in the river, and observing their natural behaviors up close. These activities foster a deeper connection between humans and elephants while promoting respect for these intelligent and sensitive animals.

Community Engagement: Chiang Mai Elephant Care also works closely with local communities to promote sustainable tourism practices and raise awareness about the importance of protecting elephants and their habitats. By involving the community in conservation efforts, the sanctuary helps ensure the long-term survival of these iconic creatures.
